Changelog

What’s new in Tinbox.

Every tagged release, newest first: the inbox, the agent surface, and the sending stack as they’ve come together. Each entry ties back to a feature you can run on your own account.

Tinbox ships as npm package versions: there’s no hosted product pushing updates at you. You npm update tinbox and re-deploy when you choose.

  1. v0.0.3June 2026

Pricing, licensing & a fuller site

    • AddedA dedicated pricing page laying out the three honest layers: free to self-host, a one-time lifetime license, and your real Cloudflare usage bill.
    • AddedThe $149 founding lifetime license: pay once, fund the project, own the readable source, no subscription, seats, or metering.
    • AddedExpanded the marketing site with features, security, about, and a side-by-side compare page versus Gmail, Resend, and Mailchimp.
    • ChangedClarified the license: self-hosted and free for your own mail, with the readable source under a lifetime license and two reserved rights: no reselling-as-a-service, no stripped-down rebrand.
    • ChangedSharpened the docs around what runs where, so a coding agent can stand the stack up unattended.
  2. v0.0.2May 2026

    The agent surface

    • AddedAn MCP endpoint at /mcp, so external agents can reach your mailbox over a standard protocol, human-supervised, never headless.
    • AddedOne shared, typed tool manifest behind the in-app assistant, the CLI, and MCP: the same capabilities, described once, reachable from every surface.
    • AddedScoped, revocable capability tokens: grant an agent exactly the actions it needs (and nothing more), then revoke when you're done.
    • ChangedEvery CLI command now speaks --json, so `npx tinbox --json` is a first-class machine interface, not an afterthought.
  3. v0.0.1April 2026

    First public cut

    • Added`npx tinbox` to scaffold a project and `pnpm deploy:tenant yourdomain.com` to ship it into your own Cloudflare account.
    • AddedRuns entirely on your own Cloudflare account, with no servers of ours in the path of your mail.
    • AddedInbound via Email Routing and outbound via Email Sending, with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC set up on your domain.
    • AddedShared team inboxes (support@, billing@) so a whole team can work one address.
    • AddedA transactional sending API with idempotency keys: retry safely, never double-send.
    • AddedPR-reviewed newsletters: a broadcast is a pull request your team approves before it goes out.
    • AddedThe optional git archive: mirror every message to append-only files you can grep, diff, and blame.
    • AddedThe idempotent send ledger: an auditable record of exactly what was sent, and what was only attempted.

Run it on your own account.

This page is the readable summary. Deploy Tinbox to your own Cloudflare account and take each update on your own schedule — npm update tinbox, then re-deploy.
